Clark Racquet Center

Coe College’s Clark Racquet Center has been a premiere athletic facility since it was built in the 1980’s. Realizing the building’s importance, Coe College asked for a design concept and costs study to revitalize the building and re-emphasize the Coe brand.

As with all our projects, we started by reviewing the structure and its use cases in order to make informed choices to suit the client for decades to come. A big part of the analysis was dedicated to determining how to upgrade the look and feel of the interior while respecting the original architecture. From here, we reconfigured the locker room and shower areas to allow them to work well for both team and public use and re-programmed several other areas to make better use of the space. Team rooms and study areas were also updated and optimized with new layouts, finishes, furniture, and lighting.
